Do you take insurance?
I am an out of network provider, which means that I work with my clients, not their insurance provider, to determine the best plan of treatment for each individual.
Working with insurance providers requires that they dictate length and frequency of treatment based on certain diagnosis, and even deny coverage which can leave clients with unexpected costs.
By working collaboratively with you based on my clinical judgement, I am able to plan your treatment based on your unique needs.
The majority of my clients receive reimbursement from their insurance company for the cost of your sessions. I am happy to provide you with a monthly superbill so you can submit it to your insurance company for reimbursement.
How long will therapy take?
This depends on your unique needs and therapeutic goals!
Whether you are interested in short-term therapy for specific situations or longer-term therapy to handle more complex situations, I have witnessed clients gain self-awareness, insights, and symptom-relief throughout the process.
No two clients are the same, it all depends on your needs and whether you are committed to doing the work.
What do I need to know about therapy before starting?
Therapy is a unique and special relationship. It's essential to find the right provider for you which is why I offer a free 15 minute consultation to determine whether I can meet your needs.
Whether you see me or someone else, I recommend that clients try at least three sessions before deciding if a provider is the right fit. I have observed the most success when clients are committed to coming to therapy weekly and are willing to do the deep work of trauma therapy.
Therapy is a big commitment but when you are willing to be a consistent participant, the results will remain with you long after you have finished with therapy.
Experience & Expertise
I am certified in EMDR, a trauma treatment which is empowering for the client to heal from past or present traumas. I am trained in evidenced based therapies such Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), InternaI Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and expressive arts therapy.
I use any or all of these tools in our sessions, depending on each client and their unique needs.
I am also bilingual in English and Spanish and can provide treatment in both languages.
